The university has been thoroughly successful in fulfilling the desires of many people It came into existence in October 2002 under the Thiruvalluvar University Act 2002 by the Government of Tamil Nadu at Vellore The inauguration ceremony was held on the 16th of October 2002 when the university was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Honorable Dr. J.
