Thiruvalluvar Arts and Science College

Thiruvalluvar Arts and Science College, an esteemed organization is situated in Kurinjipadi. Kurinjipadi is one of the most socially and educationally backward areas in Cuddalore district. The College was established to cater to the needs of the downtrodden people in and around Kurinjipadi. The noble philanthropists of Shree Jayaganapthi Educational Trust established a college named "THIRUVALLUVAR ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE" in the year 1997. The able and efficient management obtained permission from the Government of Tamil Nadu, vide G.O.Ms No.459, and subsequently got affiliation to the university of Madras in the academic year 1997-98. From 2003 onwards, the College has been affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University. The College was started with only five departments namely: (i) B.Sc Computer Science (ii) B.Sc. Bio Chemistry (iii) B.Sc Micro Biology (iv) B.B.A (v) B.Com. Thiruvalluvar Arts and Science College reached its monumental height with twelve disciplines in Under Graduate courses and five disciplines in Post Graduate course within a decade. The Institution has been upgraded as a PG Institution from the year 2001 by obtaining affiliation to the following course like: (i) M.Sc-Information Technology(ii) M.Sc Computer Science and Technology(Integrated Course) (iii) M.Sc-Applied Micro-Biology(iv)M.Com (v) M.A English.
