Economics is a subject having broad implications and varied definitions. It can be considered an art, science, management or for some, the combination of all of the three. It is a field that studies how scarce and excess resources are utilized by people and entities and how decisions are effected by economic situations, both short term and long term. Questions like what, how, when and for whom to produce are the fundamental questions the law makers in any country face and economists are the first persons that such law makers seek help from. The BA (hons.) economics program focuses on developing a basic understanding of this complex subject in a way that streamlines information without sacrificing the core concepts. Further knowledge is imparted to learners through practical applications that bring forward the important facets of this subject.
