Hindustan University

The Hindustan University was earlier known as Hindustan College of Engineering. It is one of the premier institutes of the nation. The university was set up in the year 1985. The UGC and the Govt. of India has recognized this institute as a University u/s 3 of UGC Act 1956 and the institute was named as Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science. The university was started its operation from the academic year 2008-09. ?To make every man a success and no man failure? is the vision of the university and it is working constantly to justify the same. The university is one of the renowned universities of the STATE for its excellent course curriculum and the qualified and experienced teaching staffs. The infrastructure facility of the university is equally significant. Dr. K.C.G. Verghese has established this university. He was the founder and chairman on the Hindustan Group of Institutions. He has established this group in the year 1966. Later on he has set up the Hindustan Engineering Training Centre (HETC) and Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (HIET) in order to provide quality technical education to the students at this part of the nation. The university has emerged as one of the premier institutes of South India. It has guided the concept of non-formal technical education in Chennai in to effective result in last few years. It has become inspiration of other institutes in the field of engineering & technical education aviation applied sciences and management studies.
