Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University) Hyderabad was formally inaugurated on March 20 1965 by Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri (Hon. Prime Minister of India). The University was renamed after Acharya N.G. Ranga (Parliamentarian & Freedom Fighter) on November 7 1996. It is a STATE university and largest in India in terms of area.
