Kendriya Vidyalaya

The Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anantnag, was established in the year 2003, to benefit the Civil sector of the district of Anantnag. It is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan-New Delhi, an autonomous body setup in 1965, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Govt. of India, intending to impart uninterrupted education to the children of transferable Central Government Employees including Defence Personnel all over India and abroad. At present KVS manages nearly 1087 schools which produce excellent results in the CBSE examination and moulding the character of the future generation. The Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anantnag caters to the educational requirements of students up to the Class-X. The school is affiliated to the C.B.S.E. and is governed by the Kendriya VidyalayaSangathan, Regional Office, Jammu.
