Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University was established in the year 2010 by the Govt. of Karnataka. University was named after the great emperor Krishnadevaraya. University main campus is located in Jnana Sagara 8 km away from Bellary city. University has 100 colleges running under its affiliation. University campus is spread over 100 acres of land. University has two centres one at Jnana Sagara which is main campus and has 14 postgraduate departments and other at Jnana Sarovara which has 10 post graduate courses with good hostel facilities. University offers various courses to as many as 43000 students Faculty: Faculty of Arts Faculty of Social Science Faculty of Science and Technology Faculty of Commerce and Management Extracurricular Activities: National Service Scheme Sports Red Cross Public Relation Facilities: Library: The university library is located in the main building of university. Library has over 10000 books and 25 computer systems connected internet facilities. Library also subscribes 90 national and international journals.
