Central Institute of Fisheries Education

CENTRAL Institute of Fisheries Education is one of the leading Universities of the country which provides quality education on fisheries and allied fields. It is one of the oldest universities of the nation. The University is situated at Mumbai Maharastra. It was incorporated in the year 1961 on 6th June and is recognized by UGC. It was incorporated under the Ministry of Agriculture and Government of India. Indian Council of Agricultural Research joined to in the year 1979. It has received the status of a Deemed University in the year 1989. The university has been outstanding in the development of fisheries sector. It has three basic sections that are teaching research and extension. The courses offered by the university are categories as two streams. They are Science courses and Agriculture Science and Technology Courses.
