The Course is offered with a Minimum Duration of 3 Years (06 Semester). The Tenure of the Course comprises of Course Work (Theoretical) for 06/12 Months & the Research Activity thereafter. During the Course work, the Advanced Study about the Scientific Principles, Procedures & Techniques, associated with the farming of Fish, Aquatic Plants & Other Aquatic Organisms for food, in Fresh / Salt Water under controlled Conditions, is offered. The Research Activity includes the Advancements in Genetics & Biotechnology in Aquaculture, Taxonomy & Systematic of Cultivable Aquatic Organisms, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biostatistics, Inland Aquaculture, Ornamental Fisheries, Health Management in Aquaculture, Mari-culture, Fish Nutrition, Fish Capture Technology, Fish Processing Technology, Freshwater Plants, Shellfish Genetics, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
