Visvesaraya National Institute of Technology

VNIT is one of the best technology universities in the Vidharba region today. The institute was given deemed university status by the government on 26th June 2002 under the University Grants Commission Act 1956. In 2007 the Govt. declared VNIT as an institute of National importance along with the National Institutes of Technology. Initially the university was known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering The deemed university has been named after the famous personality of Sir M.
