BS Abdur Rahman University

B.S Abdur Rahman University has been established under section 3 of the UGC act 1956. The students residing in the South of India and also in the rest of the country are being blessed with the inception of this outstanding University. B. S. Abdur Rahman University was set up in the year 1984 being called as the Crescent Engineering College. It is one of the best Universities located at the South of India. Being a Muslim minority establishment the University was approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (5) and was suitably affiliated to Madras University. Till 2001 the college remained affiliated to Madras University. Again till 2008 Crescent Engineering College remained affiliated to Anna University. The University is ideally located at Seethakathi ESTATE Vandalur Chennai (Tamil Nadu). The University has been recognised by the UGC it has been accredited by NBA and it has also been approved by the 5. It?s awesome for any University to have such achievements adorned to it. There are many brilliant and fantastic faculties and departments under this University. The University is imparting knowledge in all the faculties and their respective departments. Each of the schools is providing with brilliant and class education. The teaching faculties are also A-class and above all gives attention to each and every students reading in this University. Achievements:- A brilliant and bright Prof Vijayan Sugumaran (Professor of Management Information Systems Department of Decision and Information Sciences at Oakland University) is at present in BSA University as a part of the United STATEs - India Educational Foundation (USIEF) Fulbright Specialist Program On 30th April 2012 NASA Astronaut Marsha Ivins visited the University. She had 5 space flights and 3 space walks for more than 1389 hours in space. She delivered an extraordinary lecture. It was titled " 55 Days in Space: The Story of an American Astronaut?. It was an enlightening experience for the students. The University has been by DNV Netherlands (Certified ISO 9001:2008).
