Barkatullah University

Barkatullah University was established in the year 1970 under the name of Bhopal University. But in 1988 it was renamed after the freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah. The university covers almost all higher education courses through its affiliated colleges. The university campus covers almost 360 acres of land situated on the Jabalpur -Jaipur national highway at distance of 3 km. from Habibganj Railway station. University is recognized by UGC University is also being accredited by NAAC as 'B' Grade Category University. The library subscribes 15 daily and 12 weekly news papers and also several monthly magazines and journals. Hostels: Campus has 4 hostel in its premises in which 3 are for boys and 1 for girls. Hostels are are looked after by wardens. Psychological Counseling Center: The department of psychology constantly running this center from the session 1990-91 in order to solve the student's personal problems. Computer Center: It was established in the year 1990. Center is equipped with IBM Rs 6000 Unix Server, AST Manhattan Server, Motorola 68030 machines and systems connected in the LAN. Instrumentation Center: Center has well equipped mechanical workshop. The Electronics workshop and glass blowing workshop are being constructed in the in the campus.
