PEC University of Technology is one the pioneer engineering college in Punjab affiliated to Punjab University Lahore in 1931. The college is situated in Chandigarh Sector 12 and is almost 9 Km away from the Chandigarh Railway station and 5 Km from the main Bus Stand. It was established on 9th November 1921 as Mugalpura Engineering College at Lahore which is now in Pakistan. It was later from March 19 1924 renamed to Maclagan Engineering College and after partition in 1947 the college was shifted to Roorkee (India) and was renamed as East Punjab College of Engineering. East was removed from March 19 1924 and it came to know by its present name Punjab Engineering College Punjab Engineering College became as a Deemed to be University in October 2003 and thereafter it changed to Punjab Engineering College (Deemed University). The campus sprawling over an area of 146 acres and offers lush green environs. PEC University of Technology provides various facilities like Medical Facility Graduate Research Project Award Computer Center Hostels and Library.

Renowned college with superb faculty. Fees is not as high as other private colleges. Excellent placement record. Quality education is given. Projects & assignments are given on regular basis & quizzes are regularly conducted. There is a need to improve infrastructure.
