CENTRAL University of Karnataka (CUK) is renowned as one of the premier institutes across south India. It was set up in the year 2009 at Gulbarga Karnataka under the Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009).It has managed to attract the students for various part of the nation to learn and become a part of a developing nation The university had started its academic activities from the month of August in the year 2009. The CENTRAL University of the Karnataka was one among the all 16 new universities that were set up by the Government of India in the same year. These were establishes under the UGC XI Plan Period. The motto was to resolve the issue of ?equity and access? in the peripheral areas and to stimulate and generate options of higher education for the students. The territorial jurisdiction of the university is all over the STATE of Karnataka The campus is sprawling over an area of 621 acres
