National Institute of Technology Karnataka

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka is also known as NITK Surathkal and is one of the 30 NITs of India and is reckoned as one of the top technological universities of India. It was established in 1960 when it was also known as the Karnataka Regional Engineering College. It was declared as Institutes of National Importance by the National Institutes of Technology Act 2007. It is situated near the city of Mangalore beside the Kanyakumari-Mumbai Highway. It is well linked by rail and road and by air to main cities of India and a few international location. NITK has a lush green campus sprawling over 250 acres of land.
