Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology

Quite a good number of institutes in India are there providing education on technology and engineering and bringing out top class engineers and IT professionals every year. In the reputed list of such universities and institutes comes the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology of Jalandhar. 1987 is the year when the institute got established as Regional Engineering College. The Government of India gave it the status of National Institute of Technology a Deemed University on October 17 2002 with the support of Ministry of HRD New Delhi. It has also been declared by the HRD Ministry of the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance under the Parliament Act of 2007.
