First established as Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, the venerable establishment grew rapidly under the able leadership of its founder chairman into a distinguished center of knowledge, learning and research. The hard work of the founding chairman and his dedicated team of eminent medical administrators, faculty and staff was richly rewarded when the Government of India declared the Constituent Colleges as Deemed University, as per the recommendations of the UGC during the year 2008. This Institution was awarded the status of 'Deemed to-be-University; in the name and style of SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary teaching and research foundation that offers Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing Courses.
