AIPMST (Secondary) examination provides a platform and hand-holding support to all pre-medical aspirants those who want to pursue MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS courses by granting them scholarships on qualifying the scholarship examination with a score to pursue medical education. It is purely a merit-based examination that is conducted national wide every year.
Though AIPMST (Secondary) is beneficial for all medical students, it is, especially, very helpful to all those deserving pre-medical candidates, who are from a weaker economic section and cannot afford education in medicine without financial assistance. The initiative behind the national-level merit scholarship scheme is to provide financial assistance to all meritorious and deserving pre-medical students to realise their "dreams of pursuing education in medicines and get employed in their dream medical practicing hospitals."
AIPMST (Secondary) scholarship examination activities are regulated by the “Scholarship and Admission Eligibility Testing Agency (SAET Agency)”.
The eligibility criteria for the All India Pre-Medical Scholarship Test (Secondary)-2023 are:
Aspirants who fall in the listed below academic categories can apply for the AlPMST (Secondary)-2023.
Category 1: Students who have already appeared and qualified for their Senior Secondary Board or 12th standard board examination from a government-recognised board, such as CBSE, ICSE, etc. are eligible to apply for the AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination.
Category 2: Students who will be appearing in their Senior Secondary Board or 12th standard board examinations from a government-recognised board is also eligible to apply for the AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination.
Any student who qualifies for any one of the above-listed categories can apply for the AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination.
Age limit:
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October, 1997 are eligible to apply for AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, the upper age limit has been relaxed by 5 years. So, SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after 1st October, 1991, the upper age limit is relaxed or extended by 5 years are also eligible to apply for AIPMST (Secondary) - 2023.
DOB: The date of birth as per the records in the Secondary School Board Examination/University Certificate shall only be considered as a valid document.
Subject group: In addition, the elementary requirement that the aspirants need to fulfill is that he/she should have passed the 12th standard with the MEDICAL stream. This means that the applicant must have opted for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) subjects in their 12th standard.
Students pursuing any other subjects other than PCB subjects in their 12th standard board examination shall not be eligible to apply for the AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination.
Any student complying with the above-listed conditions shall have the full right to apply for the AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination.

Note: The 'Examination Dates' may change in accordance with 12th State Board Examination dates or any other entrance examination dates so that it may not coincide with any other Examination schedules.
Here, the instructions mentioned below are needed to be kept in mind while applying for AIPMST (Secondary) Scholarship Examination:
Registration:
- Candidates need to click on “Click Here to Apply Now” which you can find on the right side of the web page.
- You will get directed to the “Registration” page. Now, you have to fill in your “Name, Mobile Number and Email ID”. Additionally, you have to create your password and confirm it.
- After completing the second step, click on the “Submit” button.
- Now, you get directed to your dashboard, where you find the “Apply Now” option at the left side of the page.
Basic Details:
- After completing the fourth step, you have to fill in your Basic Details (Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Physically Handicapped (Yes/No), Category, State, Aadhar Number).
- You have to click on “Save & Next” after filling in all the details.

- In this step, you get directed to the Payment page, where you have to pay for your scholarship examination application fees.

Personal/Academic Information:
- Now, you get to the “Personal Information” section in which you have to fill in your “Contact Details” and “Permanent Address”.
- In this step, you come up at the section of “Examination Details” in which you have to fill in regarding your subjects, selected examination center, etc.
- After completing the ninth step, click on the “Save & Next” option. You get directed to a page where you have to fill in your academic details for class 10+2 and click on “Save & Next”.
Documents/Images Upload:
Now in this step, you have to upload your “photograph” and “signature”. Make sure that it should be appropriate in size as per requirement (100KB).
Final Submission:
After uploading it, click on “Save & Next”. Finally, you will come to the “Final Submission” page, where you must preview all the details that you have filled in and click on the “Submit” option for your completed form to be processed further for complete registration.
Seats:
- 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates
- 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates
- 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates only in Central Educational Institutions. Reservation would be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column in application form. Candidates from creamy layer and those who do not come under Central List of OBC are advised to mention their category as General.
- 3% seats are reserved on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates
