What is UPCATET?
The UPCATET is a state-level entrance exam that is conducted once a year. The UP Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) is an entrance exam conducted to provide admission to different UG and PG programmes for Agriculture disciplines. This entrance exam is conducted for mainly candidates having Uttar Pradesh State domicile. These courses are offered at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur; Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut; Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda etc. The UPCATET exam conducted for three hours duration and the test mode is offline (pen & paper) only.

UPCATET Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for UPCATET 2024 for different courses i.e BSc and BFSc is given below:
- BSc (Honours) Agriculture/ BSc (Honours) Horticulture/ BSc (Honours) Forestry: Candidates should have cleared Class 12 with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject to meet UPCATET eligibility criteria.
- Bachelor in Fisheries Science (BFSc): Candidates should have cleared Class 12 with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject to meet UPCATET 2024 eligibility criteria.
- BSc (Honours) Home Science: Candidates should have cleared Class 12 in the Arts stream with Home Science/ PCB/ PCM/ PCMB/ Agricultural Science subject to be eligible for UPCATET exam. Only female candidates can opt for this course, informs the official website.
Age limit: As of December 31, 2024, candidates should be more than 16 years and less than 22 years in age. However, for the BVSc & H course, candidates should be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years in age as of December 31, 2024. It may be noted that candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category have an age relaxation of five years for any course they apply for.

UPCATET 2024 Counselling
Qualified candidates had to further participate in the UPCATET counselling process which will be notified by exam conducting authorities after the declaration of result. Candidates qualifying in the UPCATET exam will be invited for the counselling round as per merit. In the UPCATET 2024 counselling session, candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses and universities.

UPCATET 2024 Application Process
UPCATET 2024 online registration for the session 2024 will begin in first week of March 2024 in online mode. Candidates can fill out the application form via online platform and the last date for the same will be around 20 days after releasing the application form. For UPCATET 2024 registrations, candidates will have to fill the application form in online mode on the official website of the exam.
Students first have to visit the official website click on the 'New Registration' tab and then click on the 'I agree' checkbox. Upon clicking on 'New Registration tab, candidates have to fill up their basic details including contact details followed by which the registration credentials will be generated. After this, they will have to login and fill up the complete UPCATET application form and pay the application fee. Candidates have to pay the application fee online (via net banking/ debit card).

UPCATET 2024 Cutoff

UPCATET 2024 Admit Card
The exam conducting authorities will release the UPCATET 2024 admit card around 15 days before the commencement of the exam. The admit card will be released on the official website of UPCATET 2024 in online mode. Candidates will have had to download their admit card logging in with their registration credentials. To download the admit card, candidates needed to enter details such as their registration number/ full name, date of birth, and course. The UPCATET 2024 admit card will appear on the screen and it has to be downloaded in PDF format. The admit card of UPCATET will carry information such as exam date, exam group, test centre address, exam day guidelines along with candidates' personal details.
