Computer science is known as the study of the theory, experimentation, methods, and engineering processes that are employed for the designing and effective use of computers. Alternatively, it can e said that Computer Science is the investigation of computer methods and the associated computational systems. A computer scientist is someone who works in computation theory and the computational systems design. The BTech in computer science and Engineering equips students with the knowledge and technical skills to be able to understand such systems and build reasonable assumptions to further build the systems or analyze them for modification and betterment of system applications. Through this course the graduates gain sound knowledge of mathematics, science and basic engineering. They will also display new found ability to design systems, and process depending upon technical specifications. They will apply skills to work with modern software in order to solve problems. They will become familiar with modern programming languages and use them to solve critical problems which may have profound effects on related industries. There are a lot of industries that computer science graduates serve apart from the core areas. E.g. Telecom and networking, Data Analysis, Manufacturing industry, Power Industry, image processing and more.
