The Bachelor of Technology (Photonics Engineering) is an Undergraduate Degree Course of 4 Years (08 Semester) Duration. The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Higher Secondary (10+2) from any Recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as Compulsory Subjects. This Course study is about the Application of Engineering Principles, Procedures & Techniques involved in the Designing & Development of Devices & Systems that are concerned with Properties & Transmission of Photons (Element of Light). The Course usually comprised of learning about the Material Science, Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Optical Communications, Geometrical Optics, Instrumentation Technology, Electromagnetic Methods, Photonics Materials, Optical Computing and Laser Technology. The other contents that are offered during the course study include Mathematical Techniques, Advanced Optics, Atomic Physics, Molecular Physics, Solid State Devices, Statistical Physics, Electronic Devices, Non-linear Optics, Micro Photonics, Nano Photonics, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
