The Bachelor of Science (Entomology) is an Undergraduate Degree Course of 4 Years (08 Semester) Duration. The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Higher Secondary (10+2) from any Recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as Compulsory Subjects. This Course study is about the Scientific Principles, Procedures & Techniques, associated with the Genetics, Behavior & Physiology of Insects and Pests. This course offers the knowledge of Integrated Insect Pest Management, Plant Protection Techniques, Biological Control of Insects, Insect Pathology, Microbial Control of Insects, Botanical Pesticides, Agricultural Entomology, Food Storage & Preservation, Bee Keeping and Principles of Sericulture. The other contents that are offered during the course study include Insect Morphology, Insect Systematic, Insect Anatomy, Insect Physiology, Insect Ecology, Toxicology of Insects, Plant Resistance to Insects, Agricultural Statistics, Hazards of Pesticides, Chemical Control of Pests, Mechanical Control of Pests, Cultural Control of Pests, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
