The Bachelor of Science (Hons.) (Biochemistry) is an Undergraduate Degree Course of 3 Years (06 Semester) Duration. The General Educational Eligibility for entering this course is Higher Secondary (10+2) from any Recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics / Biology as Compulsory Subjects. This Course is about the Chemical Processes that Occur within Living Organisms & are concerned with Substances & Chemical Reactions that are involved in the Production, Protection & Use for Agricultural Crops, Livestock & Environment. The Course usually comprised of learning about Physical Chemistry, Cell Microbiology, Basic Molecular Biology & Genetics, Computer Applications, Enzymology, Cell Biology, Quantative Estimation & Separation Techniques, Protein Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics. The other contents that are offered during the course study include General Microbiology, Nutritional Biochemistry, Food Preservation Technology, Enzyme Kinetics, Chemistry of Biomolecules, Allied Chemistry, Quantative Analysis, Analytical Biochemistry, etc. with variability of the Institution offering the Course.
