TOEFL Online Application
Candidates will log in to the official website of TOEFL to create a validated profile. You should carry the passport as one of the primary documents while registering for TOEFL. Your name should be spelled correctly. One needs to follow a few easy steps to complete the registration.

- Finally, pay the TOEFL Application fees to complete the registration
Registering for the TOEFL examination using your ETS account is the fastest, easiest process to register. Once you finish the registration you will receive a confirmation email from ETS. Keep this email safe until test day.
TOEFL Offline Application
Test takers have to send TOEFL registration form via mail to the registered address.
- The candidate firstly has to download TOEFL registration form
- Candidates have to fill up specific codes(available online) required to fill up the registration form manually
- One can initiate a payment from the options mentioned in the form
- After filling up the form, the candidate has to send the form to RRC(Regional Registered Centers)
- Mail should be received by them at least a month before the test date
- If the candidate does not receive a confirmation, then he/she must call RRC at least three days before the registration deadline.
TOEFL Registration via Phone App

- Candidates can pay the TOEFL Exam Fee via credit card or debit card or an e-check

TOEFL Exam Pattern
The TOEFL exam pattern ranges from 0-120. Each section has a TOEFL score range of 0-30 and a total of 4 sections. As TOEFL is a language proficiency test, mostly the ETS TOEFL measures the language skills of the candidates through the following given TOEFL exam pattern as per the sections below :
TOEFL Reading
In TOEFL Reading, candidates will have to read 3-4 passages of 700 words and answer 30-40 questions that include 10 types of questions. The TOEFL Reading section is intended to evaluate candidates' reading and understanding abilities. The reading passages in the TOEFL cover a variety of different subjects. Candidates get 54 to 72 minutes to solve the TOEFL Reading passages. This section is scored on a range of 0 - 30.
TOEFL Writing
The TOEFL Writing section comprises two tasks – TOEFL integrated and TOEFL independent tasks. The duration of this section is 50 minutes and the candidates need to write 500-600 words compositely in two writing tasks. TOEFL Writing is the last section of the TOEFL exam pattern and is the hardest one as well since candidates are simultaneously tested on their listening, speaking, and reading skills. The raw score range of TOEFL Writing is 0-5 and is again converted to a scale of 0-30.
TOEFL Listening
TOEFL Listening section there are basically two aspects - lectures and conversations. After each conversation or lecture, there is a set of questions asking about the information that was being presented. Candidates will get 20 minutes to answer each set of questions. TOEFL Listening includes 4-6 academic lecture excerpts each 3-5 minutes in length and 2-3 conversations on a variety of general topics relevant to university life.
TOEFL Speaking
In TOEFL Speaking section, comprises one independent and three integrated speaking tasks. There are one independent task and 3 integrated tasks. TOEFL Speaking is measured in a range of 0 - 30. There is a total of 6 questions, the first two are about familiar topics and the rest are lectures, short readings, and conversations. TOEFL is of two types: TOEFL ibt and TOEFL PBT. TOEFL examination tips
- Learn and understand the TOEFL exam pattern. The four sections of the examination hold the maximum importance. You need to have complete knowledge about the pattern, type of questions in each section, and lastly, the types of tasks.
- Manage your time by planning the task. When you practice at home, set a timer for yourself and practice. TOEFL test sections are challenging because of less time and more questions to attempt.
- Focus on building a fantastic vocabulary. You need to have a good hold over good words that are not used commonly in daily lives. When you draft the write-up with a good vocabulary, it gives you an excellent score.
- Make sure your tasks are completely accurate and there are no minor or major grammatical mistakes. It is an English language proficiency test, so make sure you submit zero grammatical errors in write-ups.
- The independent task requires you to write about yourself, your opinion, and your experience. Make sure you use the best ideas, facts, and fruitful experiences that make a winning essay.

- Scan and skim reading passages. There will be long passages, so do not waste time by reading the entire passage. Skim the passage for relevant information and facts.
- Maintain the right fluency and pronunciation when you take the speaking test. You need to deliver the right information, opinion, and facts without making any grammatical mistakes while speaking.
