VSR Government Degree and PG College

V.S.R. Govt. Degree & P.G. College is located in the remote rural area of Krishna District, A.P. and is affiliated to Krishna University, Machilipatnam, Krishna District. It is established with the aim of empowering the educationally backward and disadvantaged rural youth by imparting quality education and training on 28/11/1984 with B.A., B.Com (Gen), B.Sc.(M.P.E.) courses. Later other courses in B.Sc. like M.P.C., M.P.CS., M.E.CS. and Bot. Biotech. Che, B.Com. (Computers), B.Com (Vocational), M.Sc Mathematics & M.Com were added. It is recognized by the U.G.C under section 2(f) and 12(b) on dt.13/2/1992. Ever since the college has been developing and now it has strength of 595 students and 24 teaching members. It is offering 2 P.G. courses in addition to 9 U.G. courses. The college follows the curriculum prescribed by Krishna University. While following the prescribed syllabus strictly, it analyses it and sends feedback to the affiliating university whenever necessary. On its own, it offers new value added courses according to the needs of the students. To impart computer skills, communication skills, and accounting skills, it has been taking special interest and care.
