Shri. Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust provides qualitative and invaluable service in the field of Education, especially for the poor and the down trodden classes of the society. The Trust was started by our Hon'ble Patron, Shri. R. S. Gawai (Hon. Governor of Kerala). Today the Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust runs 27 Institutions, from Primary schools to colleges . Takshashila College is one of the oldest colleges of the trust. Founded in 1984, the college houses various courses in arts, science, commerce and management. With state of the art infrastructure and facilities, situated at very pleasing, scenic and natural environment in heart of the Amravati city. Mere 200 mts from the Amravati Bus Stand and 1km from Amravati Rly Station. We also provide transportation for the students to and fro institutions with High standard Buses and Minibuses. Hostel facilities are available for both Boys and Girls for outstation students, Study center for scholastic students, options of Online learning through the State-of-the-art Computer lab. We at Takshashila College are committed to the overall development of students. We provide excellent learning environment via quality education. With continuous monitoring of the learning status of the student, we concentrate and improve their skills as well as overcome weaknesses. We also conduct social activities like Meditation Camps, Blood donation camps and Awareness Drives for Family Planning, Employment for Rural Youth, Diagnostic Camps and Computer education for the poor etc. Guidance Center for Competitive Examinations are setup and schools for Physical Education in rural areas are also run by the Trust. We aim to equip students with Technical knowledge, skill and ability; to inculcate in them right attitude and holistic values; to motivate them to think creativity, act indepandently and take decisions accordingly in all their scientific pursuits and other endeavors as well; to develop a system of meaningful interaction with industry and society.
