Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women successfully completes its pride walk of 24 years and enters into its 25th year of selfless education to the Woman folk, Enlightening and Enhancing them to equip themselves in this competent world. ?Educating a woman enlightens a family?- with this aspiration, the SNR Charitable Trust started Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women in the year 1991. It is the first Self-financing Women's college, affiliated to Bharathiar University located in the heart of the city. The college offers 8 UG Programmes, 5 PG Programmes and 5 Research programmes. The exclusive women campus consists of 1800 plus students with 78 dedicated faculty members. Nearly 30 faculty members are qualified with Doctoral degree and 25 are pursuing Ph.D programmes in various disciplines. More than 100 papers are published in reputed National and International journals to enhance the research culture among the students and faculty members. The students are also motivated to participate and present their research articles in National and International Conferences to share their views and to identify the future direction in their area of research. A total amount of Rs 6,10,000 is received from the various government funding agencies like UGC, DRDO, DST etc. To explore the job opportunities the institution has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various industries like Infosys, Ladder minds, Minveli Infotech Pvt Ltd, Vestige Technologies Pvt Ltd, Greetha Creative world and ROOTS. The college has well-established Smart Classrooms and secured environment which supports the development of intellectual and moralistic ideas of the students. It also offers both In-house and Outbound training for enhancing individual and team performance. A number of educational tours and industrial visits are arranged for the students to broaden their knowledge about the insights of the technical world. Adding to its achievement since its inception the college has secured a total of 239 university ranks and 22 gold medals. The exuberant achievement of the students follows up by the strenuous work of the faculties of the various departments. Our college has excellent hostel facilities for the outsiders. Good transportation facilities are available for students to ply to various parts of Coimbatore on a low fare. Various club activities are organised for the students to excel in their creative capabilities. The college is proud of having an Alumni Association where alumni volunteer their time and offer their expertise through meetings and sponsors to inspire the aspiring students. The college has all modern educational infrastructure and facilities including a large library with large volumes of books, Journals and Magazines.
