Sri Bharathi Arts and Science College for Women

Pudukkottai District is the historical place, a princely state of the Thondamans-formed in 1974 it became the district headquarters and began to progress steadily in various fields. Education is the foundation of a nation and all other growth are based on this education. The system of education is in a state of flux, in conformity with the growing demands for new branches of knowledge and diversified advancements of the modern technological world. Forseeing this ,the Bharathi Educational Trust with 12 members has started an Arts and Science College during the year 2005-2006 in the name of Sri Bharathi famous patriotic poet who evoked the spirit of women Education. This college meant exclusively for Women caters to the need of downtrodden people in and around Pudukkottai, a backward district. Situated at a distance of five kilometers from Pudukkottai, transport facilities are made available to the students coming from Aranthangi,AvudaiyarKovil,Alangudi,Thirumayam,Karambakudi,Manamelkudi, Gandarvakottai and Pudukkottai.
