SNR Sons College

Coimbatore is an educational hub of Tamil Nadu. The SNR Sons Charitable Trust was one of the prestigious pioneer contributors to the educational institutions in the city. The trust was founded on 9th February 1970, to fulfill the dreams of a great philanthropist and a man of vision, Sri S.N.Rangasamy Naidu and his four sons in the field of medicine and education. SNR Sons College is the first college to be established out of the seventeen institutions of the trust. The college bloomed in the year 1987 and ever since the prestigious moment it has set the standard of recognition as an outstanding institution. The SNR Sons College though situated in the heart of the city provides a natural environment with lush green gardens surrounding the campus with serenity Our College is an autonomous institution, affiliated to Bharathiar University .The College is among the very few and reputed institutions which has received 'A' Grade rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the third cycle of assessment. The college offers 16 Under Graduate Programmes, 10 Post Graduate Programmes and 10 Research Programmes. The dedicated faculty members play an active role to train the students in Job Oriented courses to make them equipped in the placement scenario. It is the matter of pride that the institution is awarded as the 'Best Arts and Science College in India' by ASSOCHAM and the Education Post. The faculty members and students with their ardent commitment and enormous amount of compassion for society were recognized as 'Real Heroes' from ACC Cements and C4TN.The students achievements in the participation in Republic Day parade, National, International and Asian Games adds more jewel to the crown. The combination of educational excellence with social responsibility and social concern has brought many laurels to the college. The Youth Red Cross of the college was honoured with the 'Best Participation Award'. The college aims to provide quality education, enabling young aspirants to excel in the present competitive world. To explore the job opportunities the institution has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with industries like TCS and IBM. It also offers both In-house and Outbound training for enhancing individual skills and performance as a team. The placement record of the students is quite appreciable with an annual campus recruitment of about 78%.The students have been placed in premier organizations like - Infosys, Wipro, CTS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra and so on. The alumni working in various positions contribute to the Alma matter through a very strong alumni network. The Campus hosts well planned academic blocks, laboratories, conference halls, a general library, separate library for management and computer applications, separate hostel for men and women. Good transport facilities are provided to the students who come from different places.The College is at the forefront of higher education in the country balancing academic excellence and serving the society, with an emphasis on all round development of students.
