Smt MNK Dalal Education College for Women

Gujarat Stree Kelavani Mandal a leading organization in Gujarat, blessed by Mahatma Gandhiji and working for women empowerment, started an education department in its SLU Arts college for women in 1947 getting the SNDT University pass a special resolution for it. It was the first teacher training institute for women in Gujarat state. Gradually the number of students increased and the colleges for M.Ed. degree were also started. In the beginning, Smt. Padmaben Fadia worked as the Head of the Department and then Dr. Yashomatiben Patel was appointed in 1963. The institute was affiliated to Gujarat University in June 1973.
