Overview Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) established in the year 1997 as Central Referral Hospital. The first batch of MBBS students were enrolled in the year 2001. With a team of 288 faculty, SMIMS conducts the following Medical and Health Sciences courses: (i) MBBS (ii) M.Sc.(Medical) in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and integrated Medical Bio Technology(iii) DNB in Paediatrics, OBG, Medicine and Surgery (iv) MS in ENT & OBG, (v)MD in Medicine, Pediatrics, Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Psychiatry, Microbiology & Physiology.
