Shri Saraswati College of Social Work

To Fulfill ambitions of Shri Narayandasji Kothari, his elder son, founder President, Principal, Shri S.N. Kothari established new education trust named as Shri Saraswati Pragat Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Washim. The Mandal is registered under societies & Trust Act. It is offering education in Social Work since 1999-2000. With the initiative of visionary ex- Principal, Shri S. N. Kothari, and the founder President of the society, it has become tradition of our college to provide social work education at degree and post graduate level to students of backward community and economically weaker students from rural area. Our Mandal is recognized as Linguist minority institution by Maharashtra government on 09/05/2013 & approved by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. Our college has received permanent affiliation of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati on 02/06/2014. UGC, New Delhi has accorded ?2f? & ?12B? recognisition on15/07/2015. Our college is getting grant in aid from Social welfare department, government of Maharashtra from 2006 for salary & non-salary expenditure. We provide B.S.W. and M.S.W. education with intake capacity of 80 students for both the degrees. Overflow for admission in our College and popularity of the Social Work course are definitely due to the state of the art infrastructure, building and other facilities provided by the management, excellent teaching learning process, committed and competent faculty, interactions with NGOs, Industries, alumni, transparency and freedom
