Sheodeni Ram Ayodhya Prasad College, Bara Chakia popularly known as S.R.A.P. College is located on NH-28 (Four Lane) between Muzaffarpur and Motihari, both the district headquarters and 3 km from Chakia Railway Station in most rural and backward area in the District of East Champaran. The college covers a broad catch up area of about 30 km radius. This area is populated with poor farmer & laborers, mostly of SC, EBC, OBC and Minority classes. This institution is only the center for higher education to cater of and provide quality education the students of this big area, basically the deprived classes of the society SC, EBC, OBC, Minority and Girls students of all classes. The donors of the College realized the need of higher education in this backward area and devoted themselves to establish such a big institution. The College has played a great role to uplift and improve the student of this area educationally as well as professionally. Although, this area is completely backward in view of education and economy, but it has a glorious history of ancient India. This locality was popular for the centre of Budhhism. ?Kesharia Boudhh Stoop? and many of memory of Lord Buddhha and Buddhism are found in and around its nearby villages like Kesharia and Mehsi. Mehsi is famous for its ?Sip Button & sip jewelry Industry? and Leechi. Chakia was known for its Sugar Factory from British era. Almost all the subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts have been taught here by the learned and skilled teachers. An experienced and skilled working team of Non-Teaching Staff work here regularly even in holidays to maintain the administrative and academic development of the College.
