Sharadchandra Pawar Mahavidyalaya, Lonand was established in June 1986 as Arts, Commerce & Science College, Lonand. From 2005, the college is renamed after Honourable Sharadchandraji Pawar, Agricultural Minister, Govt. of India and the president of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. Above all Sharadchandraji Pawar is a close associate and an ardent admirer of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil and his mission. Our college reflects the vision of the best tradition and culture of the sanstha. Affiliated to Shivaji University. Kolhapur and recognized by University Grants Commission, our college is awarded 2F & 12 B status in the year 2007. Our college has been reaccredited with CGPA of 2.39 at 'B' grade by NAAC, Bangalore. The college offers educational programmes like B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.C.A. as well as U.G.C. approved COC courses. The goal and mission of the college is to provide qualitative higher education to the students from rural, hilly, drought-prone areas and socio-economically deprived sections, to make themselves-reliant, self-confident and responsible citizen of the nation. The college conducts various short term courses such as MS-CIT, Spoken English (General), Fashion Designing, Yoga, etc. for the overall development of the students. The college has its own beautiful premise of 18 acres, with all the needed infrastructure and modern amenities and facilities.
