Seshadripuram Institute of Commerce and Management

Established in 1973 and affiliated to Bangalore University, Seshadripuram College quickly attained a prominent position among the limited number of undergraduate colleges in Bangalore at that time. In these 40 years, the number of degree colleges in Bangalore has shown astronomical growth but Seshadripuram College continues to maintain its reputation and position. From a meagre strength of thirty students at inception, the student strength has grown substantially to 2500 with a commensurate expansion of the faculty. It is one of the first of the affiliated colleges to be granted PG courses and to offer the BBM course. The institution has been awarded the highest ?A? grade in the NAAC re-accreditation process and regularly features among the top Commerce colleges not only of Bangalore but of the country in rankings announced in leading national newspapers. Its students regularly find a place among rank holders in the university and its placement records are outstanding. This reputation sustained through more than 4 decades is due to the institution?s ability to adapt itself to the changing needs of the times without losing touch with its core values. The college attempts to create a stimulating teaching learning environment which equips students with the knowledge and skills required to face the challenges of the globalised environment.
