Samaritan College of Nursing

Samaritan Hospital established in 1968 is one of the prestigious Hospitals in India. It is a Catholic hospital managed by the ?sisters of the Destitute?. In 1999 the hospitals and the associated institutions were brought under the Samaritan Medical Care Association a Registered Charitable Society ? ER 313, 17.3.1999. It is in Samaritan Hospital the Open Heart Surgery was started for the first time in Kerala in 1972. This department stopped functioning in 1983 due to economic non viability in rural setting like ours and also because new surgical facilities offering similar services came up in the Government setup.
