Salt Christian College of Teacher Education (SCCTE) is a premier institute of teacher education in Nagaland, India. Started in 1995 with a vision to bridge the yawning gap in the need for trained teacher in the state, it is the second such institution and the first private enterprise in the field of teacher education in Nagaland. It is dedicated with the primary objective of training teachers at all levels ? Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary. Towards this objective it runs courses like B.Ed. and D.Ed. The institution is recognized by National Council of Teacher Education and affiliated to Nagaland University and State Board of Teacher Education. It is also an authorized study centre for B.Ed. course of Indira Gandhi National Open University.s and work experience. The course work is spread into 210 teaching/working days.
