Sahakar Maharashi Shankarrao Mohite- Patil Institute of Technology and Research

The SMSMPITR has been opened to provide engineering education to rural students.The institute runs under Shankarrao Mohite-Patil Charitable Hospital Trust.The Institute is situated in the heart of the city and it is just 1 km away from local ST bus depot. The Institute is sister concern of Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite-Patil Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana ltd. Akluj, which is one of the largest sugar factories of Maharashtra state. The industry has 7500 TCD sugar crushing capacity and has 33 MW Bagasse based cogeneration plant. The Institute has well equipped laboratories and regularly arranges Industrial Visit for students to enhance their practical knowledge The institute takes due care of students' academic side and has appointed well qualified faculty from IIT, NIT etc.
