Rashtriya Seva Samithi College of Special Education

Rashtriya Seva Samithi (earlier Rayalaseema Seva Samithi) was conceived and organised in 1981 by a Sarvodaya leaders such as Late Sri P.Rajagopal Naidu, Late Sri Kilari Krishnamurthy, Late Sri Ratnabai Srinivasa Rao, with blessings of Senior Parliament Gandhian Late Sri N.G.Ranga / Gandhian social activists, Dr. G Muniratnam of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh in South India.RASS was officially registered under societies registration act in 1981 with its headquarters located at Tirupati. Rashtriya Seva Samithi began its work in rain shadow region of Rayalaseema covering Chittor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts. Over a period of time it extended its operations to five states in India viz., AP, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamilnadu and Delhi. It covers 2560 villages, 3.10 million people and has a staffing strength around 2000 employees. Rashtriya Seva Samithi is at present manages around forty different development programmes funded by government and private donor agencies.
