Amroha was known for its rich cultural heritage even before the advent of Islam in India. During the medieval period, Amroha made a remarkable contribution in the realm of educational and intellectual pursuits. Amroha is also known throughout the world as the hub of Sufi Movement and a land of religious tolerance. As a result, it presents a living example of communal harmony and peaceful co-existance. After the partition in 1947, Amroha has lost its place in the field of education and consequently, its children have to go to the other places for their educational pursuits. To restore the educational place of Amroha in the country, a conscientious group of various like minded persons started their efforts and as a result of their concerted efforts, several institutions have come up during the recent past. Establishment of Rashida Begum Muslim Mahavidhyalaya was one of such attempts in this direction. We have started several institutions for the boys and girls in the recent past in Amroha and also established a computer center exclusively for the girl students. Not feeling contended with , RBMM has fixed high goals for its future and has decided to create a niche for itself by establishing a state of the art institution , encompassing the education, Science, technology, Professional and other job oriented fields.RBMM want to specialise itself in the field of education and as a first venture started B.Ed. courses and is also planning to start the faculties of Arts, Science and Technology as well. By the grace of Almighty, the RBMM is managed by a group of highly professional, qualified and competent persons from various walks of life. Its members are connected with educational movement among Muslims of India at national level. Being on the board of various high profile institutions in the country, the rich experience, of the members of the management shall go a long way in the overall development of RBMM. The RBMM is an un-aided co-educational institute approved by National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE), Jaipur, Ministry of Human Resource & development , Govt. of India. It is affiliated with M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, U.P. RBMM has been conferred with the Minority status by National Commission of Minorities Educational Institutions of India
