Rani Bhagyawati Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bijnor has its origin dating back to 1971 when Rani Bhagyawati Devi conceptualized an institution of higher learning for women population of Bijnor and neighbourhood regions. Her dream for upliftment of women and their empowerment gave birth to this pioneering institution which has now become a leading women?s college in the state. The Mahavidyalaya was formally inaugurated by Hon? ble Shri Sheelta Prasad, the then Vice Chancellor of Agra University, Agra, in the presence of Vira Brothers on 11 July, 1971.
