Rangia College

Rangia College is the premier institution of higher education on the north bank of the Brahmaputra in the district of Kamrup. Founded on August 5, 1963, the college has rendered pioneering services to the community by catering to the needs of the vast and extensive area inhabited predominantly by socially and economically backward segments of the population. Rangia College has been serving the socio-educational needs of then tire North Kamrup area which is primarily a rural base. Despite a humble beginning, through the sincere efforts and dedication of a handful of local educational entrepreneurs, the college has now become a full-fledged college with three streams (Arts, Science and Commerce). The Golden Jubilee Year of its establishment was celebrated on August 5, 2013. During the course of five decades, it has produced a good number of graduates who are now serving in different areas of social responsibility.
