Its inception dates back to 1978, when it is established with the earnest Endeavour of local luminaries, social stalwarts, eminent intellectuals and devoted donors of the vicinity. Since then it has been ascending the academic heights of excellence and maintaing high educational standard in the Nayagarh district ahead of other leading colleges. The college is crowned with permanent Govt. Concurrence and affiliation for + 2 Stream in 1979-80 and for BA/+ 3 Stream in 1983-84. Being satisfied with its performance and progress. Utkal University has accorded Arts Honors teaching facility in the year 1991-92 and that of Science in the year 2010-11.
