Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rourkela established in the academic year 1999-2000 with the dawn of new millennium, as a pilot project under "Purushottam Education & Welfare Trust", is situated in the Western part of the state of Orissa. It offers Four Year Degree courses in different engineering discipline with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by the Govt. of Orissa and affiliated to BIJU PATNAIK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, Rourkela and Sambalpur University, Sambalpur. The Mission of the Institute is to build an enviable track record in the new millennium and to enable the future generations to play a key role in the technological scenario through 'Academic excellence' with focus on Quality Education, Research, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
