Pragathi College of Education

We are a new B.Ed. College coming up in the Siliguri Suburbs with a vision to give a scope to the educated youth for acquiring Bachelor of Education Degree to enhance their scale and competency to join teaching as profession. Such a degree, in a knowledge based society, may be treated for an essential prerequisite for becoming a teacher in a Secondary or Higher Secondary School. Emphasizing on the need of the society and to meet the future challenges in the field of education a new proposed B.Ed college is coming up in Dagapur by the name of Pragati College of Education. The institution will possess 2672 square meters of exclusive well demarcated land for the initial intake of one hundred students out of which 1726 square meters will be the built up area and the remaining space for lawns, playfields etc. For an additional intake of one hundred students or part there of it will possess additional land of 500 square meters. For an annual intake beyond two hundred and up to three hundred, it will possess land of 3500 square meters. For the institution established prior to this regulations, for an additional intake of one hundred students, built up area will be increased by 500 square meters. Total intake capacity of an institution taking into account all the teachers? educational courses together will be three hundred students.
