Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology

Hailing from a Tiny Village 'Amaradakki' along the coastal belt of Pudukkottai District, our founding father Thiru.(Late).Manickam Udaiyar brought up his only son to the peak of his glory occupying the highest position and status in life, amidst immeasurable hardships. Experienced by this dutiful task, this visionary nobleman with missionary zeal, established the colleges to cater to the needs of the students, mainly from economically weaker section with rural background to achieve 'Learning for Excellence' the motto of our institution. The above noble thought resulted in the formation of Saraswathi Educational and Health Trust which was established in 1997 under the guidance of our eminent advisor Mr.A.M.Raman, I.A.S., (Retd). Realizing the importance of education, the learned educationists and philanthropists of the trust established a group of institutions in the name of the great Tamil Poet Pavendar Bharathidasan. The college is located in a sprawling campus with lush greenery and eco-friendly environment. The infrastructural facilities, buildings, classrooms, laboratories and workshops are designed and constructed as per AICTE requirements. The college library has a vast collection of text books, reference books, international and national journals. The working of the library is extended beyond college working hours to facilitate students. The laboratories are fully equipped with 'State of the Art' and latest equipment.The philosophy of the College Management being 'Providing Quality Technical Education', we have post graduate Faculty Members at middle and lower level. The top level is crowned with Faculty, a blend of Educational-Industry background to provide industry oriented education to the students. To provide 'Value Addition' to the students, the college has Training & Placement Cell, headed by a senior member from industry , supported by a group of trained and qualified staff members. Further, the college has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ICTACT, A Govt. of Tamil Nadu enterprise to enhance students with soft skills and enable them as industry friendly and suitable. As Swami Vivekananda said 'Only a strong body can have a strong mind', our beloved Managing trustee encourages sports and games activities, both for boys & girls. The college has full fledged sports facilities for football, volley ball, basketball, cricket, Indoor badminton court etc. Some of our students have represented the college at District & University level. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls, providing hygienic & nutritive food. Also, there is college canteen providing food and snacks to the wide requirements of staff and students. The college has bus facilities to transport students not only from areas of Trichy but also, Tanjore, Manapparai, Aranthangi, Viralimalai etc.
