Patriarch Ignatius Zakka - I Training College

The Patriarch Ignatius Zakka-Ist Training College is one among the five colleges managed by the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Educational Trust, Malecruz.The college started its functioning in the year 1996.The college is backed by 19 years of rich experience in the field of Teacher Education .This college is named after His Holiness Ignatius Zakka 1 Iwas, the prince Patriarch of Antioch & Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church.The very name of the college itself is a symbol of Universal Brotherhood. This temple of higher learning is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam with the approval from National Council For Teacher Education. The college is situated near Choondy junction (Approximately 30KMs east of Kochi & 5 K.M south of Kolenchery in Madhurai-Kochi National High Way) in Puthencruz.The natural splendour of the environment has been carefully preserved to allow for academic development in communion with nature.
