Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government College

Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru Govt. College is situated in Nepa Nagar Tehsil, and the college come under the Tribal area and the college having its own building. The college was established on 16 / 08 /1982 and on the same day it was taken under Government of Madhya Pradesh. From that time the college is on progress. The college is situated in the area of 2 Hec. & 51 dec. The area include the college building as well as the good playground. Building of Govt. College is Inaugrated by formal chief minister (M.P. Govt) Mr. Digvijay Singh in 19 february 1994. First education session in year 1982-83 was started with graduation level contain (Arts and Commerce faculty). In year 1988-89 Science faculty was also started with(Biology and Maths group). From 1985-86 Post-graduation level in commerce are running successfully. In year 2010 Post graduate diploma in computer application (P.G.D.C.A) one year diploma course was established in this college. From year 2006-2007 proffessional courses like computer in (Arts,Science and Commerce) faculty were successfully started for the benefit of the students. Sports department is also very rich in this college. Indoor games like:Table-tennis, Chess & carrom etc.. and Outdoor games like: Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Football & Atheletics etc.. are running successfully in this college.Along with boys, Girls are also participate in all activities. It is very important to mention here that one month training program of Zudo karate & Taikuwando was held for self defence especially for girls. The girls took participate & these art is also open for the girls students. Under government guideline NSS, Red Ribbon club and Swami Vivekanand career guideline was also established in these college. There are well equipped Laboratries for each faculty (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoolgy and Computer) are established for the practical knowledge of students.
