Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) was established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act, Act of the Gujarat Legislature of the Gujarat Legislature enacted on 4th April, 2007. It has been named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya who was an eminent political personality and a profound philosopher. Dr. Mukesh Ambani is the President of PDPU. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is a world-class educational institution in Oil & Gas and allied Energy Sectors and is modelled on the IITs & IIMs. It is spread over approximately 50 acres and offers the necessary infrastructure of a world class University. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has been promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) to create a world class University in energy education and research with special focus on the oil and gas sector. It provides a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate and post-graduate energy education programmes and intensive research initiatives. First batch of B.Tech (Petroleum Technology) was admitted at School of Petroleum Technology on 16th August, 2007. Moreover, the Programme is well recognized by the Industry, in terms of relevance, quality and earnestness to cater to the futuristic need. The B.Tech Programme of School of Petroleum Technology at the University is approved by AICTE vide F. No.: 06/01/Guj/ENGG/2007/04 dated October 6, 2008.
