North East Institute of Management Science

NERIM, North Eastern Regional Institute of Management is a Post-Graduate College established in the year 1992 by the NERIM Educational Society, registered under Societies Registration Act XXI/1860. The Govt of Assam and the Department of Technical Education initially extended its active support for the establishment of this institute with a view to promote Management and Computer Science Education in the North Eastern Region of the Country. The prime objective of the institute is to design and formulate need based academic and professional programmes independently as well as in collaboration with other leading management Institutes and Universities. Keeping in view the institute's performance and in pursuance to the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965, Govt. of Assam has granted concurrence to the recognition and affiliation of the Institute. Dibrugarh University authority vides its order No. DU/Rg/EC/NERIM/98/1256 dt. 29-12-98 granted its affiliation to NERIM and recognised it as an Institute of Management and Computer Science for conducting Post Graduate Programmes in Management and Computer Applications leading to Degrees of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) respectively, which were also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the year 1999 and 2001 respectively.
